About the Artist

Self-taught artist and community-inspired entrepreneur, Lydia has been making art since the beginning of her life-a path less traveled that’s made all the difference. Instead of defining herself within the box of one medium or type of artwork, she prefers to wander through the creative consciousness and live an artistic life, staying open to opportunities and creative adventures.

Lydia loves to paint her dreams and ideas and gravitates towards acrylics because they are ‘quick and also forgiving’. She also works with a myriad of mediums when diving into 3D sculpted pieces, prop design, and murals. Her work has been described as whimsical, surreal, figurative, feminine and emotional and usually involves some elements of nature.

She is also a prolific hand-painted sign artists of 15+ years, bringing charm and craftsmanship to local businesses and individual projects.

Recently, Lydia has stepped into a new role in her art community as a curator and exhibition manager, giving her the opportunity to use the administrative, networking, and visionary skills she's picked up along her creative journey.
